You can expect to be contacted by Stiegelmeyer Africa within 24 hours of your online purchase (or the next business day) to confirm receipt of your order.
A delivery date and time will be communicated by our freight partner
through an interactive SMS to arrange delivery within 3 - 5 working days
from receipt of funds. Should the suggested delivery date and time not
be suitable, kindly select the link provided in the SMS to indicate your
preferred date and time to take receipt of your purchase. Should you
not be home/unavailable to take delivery of the goods on the date and
time you confirmed, an additional re-delivery charge of R800 could
Note that delivery dates quoted are estimates and while every effort
will be made to ensure estimated dates are honoured, circumstances
beyond Stiegelmeyer Africa’s or TimeFreight’s control
may cause delivery dates to be changed. The same applies to estimated
timeframes on arranged delivery days as transporters can be delayed by
unforeseen traffic, accidents and roadworks.
As per our Refunds, Returns & Exchange policy, goods must be unwrapped and inspected soonest after delivery and Stiegelmeyer Africa notified immediately of any damage. In these cases, all wrapping and packaging must be retained so that Stiegelmeyer Africa
can arrange delivery of replacements and the safe return of the damaged
goods to their warehouse. It is required that faulty/damaged goods be
returned in their original packaging.
Please note that delivery excludes unwrapping and installation.
Should you require assembly assistance, please feel free to contact our
ASSIST Technical department on 0861 11 11 12 to arrange for an assembly
assistance at an additional cost of R2,500 per bed.
Certain products may need to be custom made especially for you and can take up to 3 month to be imported and delivered.
We would like to make your customer experience as pleasant as
possible. If you have bought any goods and you are experiencing
problems with the goods and would like to return them we will be happy
to assist. Reasonable requests to return goods will be considered only
under the following conditions and will be handled in the following
The items must be unused and returned unassembled in their original packaging.
The items must be in their original condition. If the goods are
returned in their original condition and repackaged in their original
packaging we may charge you a reasonable amount for necessary
restoration costs to render the goods fit for re-stocking.
Items that have been custom made cannot be returned.
Under no circumstances shall Stiegelmeyer Africa be held liable for any damage arising from misuse, abuse or neglect of goods or services supplied.
Stiegelmeyer Africa cannot be held liable for any damages to product that were assembled incorrectly by the customer.
Items that required specific fabrics, custom design or where a colour choice was involved cannot be returned.
Exchanges/Refunds will not be given if a customer changes their mind
or has made a wrong decision; where cleaning, assembly and maintenance
instructions have not been followed.
You may not return goods if after having been supplied the goods you
have partially or entirely disassembled, physically altered,
permanently installed, affixed, attached, joined or added to, blended or
combined, or embedded within other products or property.
You will be liable for full transport costs (round trip – outgoing and incoming) which will deducted from your refund.
The full transport cost which could have cost more than what you
paid or what was advertised, will be recovered from your refund.
Please Note: For hygiene reasons,
mattresses are non-refundable and cannot be returned once the original
seal has been opened. If you on inspection upon delivery feel you have
made the incorrect choice please notify us, in certain circumstances,
considered on a case to case basis, an exchange may be considered but
will be subject to a 15% handling fee. In these cases where the
bed/mattress has already been delivered the client will be liable for
costs of return of the bed and or mattress to the Stiegelmeyer Africa Warehouse in Midrand, Johannesburg.
Any defective/faulty goods must be returned within 7 working days,
with a copy of the invoice and packed in the original or suitable
packaging, upon which Stiegelmeyer Africa will:
repair or replace the failed or defective goods; or
refund you the price paid for the goods.
In the unlikely event that goods are damaged in transit, Stiegelmeyer Africa must be notified immediately and goods must be packed in original or suitable packaging in order for Stiegelmeyer Africa to arrange replacement of the damaged goods.
Refunds will be initiated once all goods are returned to
Stiegelmeyer Africa and have been assessed by our Technicians. Refunds
will be processed to the account or credit card that payment was
received from; which could take up to thirty (30) working days. Errors
and omissions excepted.
